am i being evil?

thank you for taking your time to answer my query.

i've been experiencing problems with the navigation bar. i've noticed that almost everyone else's navigation bar appears horizontally, on the top of their blogs. but mine however, appears at the top left corner. i wouldn't mind it, just that it is blocking a part of my template. i have tried following the intructions stated on the Help page, but to no avail.

i have also noticed that when i view the source of other blogs, the code for the navigation bar appears as follows:

[!-- --][style type="text/css"]@import url(http://www.blogger.com/css/navbar/main.css);
@import url(http://www.blogger.com/css/navbar/3.css);
[/style]

[/head][body][!-- --][div id="b-navbar"][a href="http://www.blogger.com/" id="b-logo" title="Go to Blogger.com"][img src="http://www.blogger.com/img/navbar/3/logobar.gif" alt="Blogger" width="80" height="24" /][/a][form id="b-search" action="http://www.google.com/search"][div id="b-more"][a href="http://www.blogger.com/" id="b-getorpost"][img src="http://www.blogger.com/img/navbar/3/btn_getblog.gif" alt="Get your own blog" width="112" height="15" /][/a][a href="http://www.blogger.com/redirect/next_blog.pyra?navBar=true" id="b-next"][img src="http://www.blogger.com/img/navbar/3/btn_nextblog.gif" alt="Next blog" width="72" height="15" /][/a][/div][div id="b-this"][input type="text" id="b-query" name="q" /][input type="hidden" name="sitesearch" value="verbal-diarrhoea.blogspot.com" /][input type="image" src="http://www.blogger.com/img/navbar/3/btn_search.gif" alt="Search" value="Search" id="b-searchbtn" title="Search this blog with Google" /][a href="javascript:BlogThis();" id="b-blogthis"]BlogThis![/a][/div][/form][/div][script type="text/javascript"][!--

function BlogThis() {Q='';x=document;y=window;if(x.selection) {Q=x.selection.createRange().text;} else if (y.getSelection) { Q=y.getSelection();} else if (x.getSelection) { Q=x.getSelection();}popw = y.open('http://www.blogger.com/blog_this.pyra?t=' + escape(Q) + '&u=' + escape(location.href) + '&n=' + escape(document.title),'bloggerForm','scrollbars=no,width=475,height=300,top=175,left=75,status=yes,resizable=yes');void(0);}

--][/script][div id="space-for-ie"][/div]

on the other hand, mine only appears as such:

[!-- --][style type="text/css"]@import url(http://www.blogger.com/css/navbar/main.css);
@import url(http://www.blogger.com/css/navbar/3.css);
[/style]

while i did try to insert the previous set of codes into my current blog template, all that happened was as predicted, that i would end up with two navigation bars.

is this a result of the modifications made to my blog? but if it is so, why is it that other modified blogs are not affected the way mine is?

i would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me in this matter as soon as possible. preferably if you would help in rectifying the misalignment of the navigation bar. while the problem does not interfere with the entries, it does mar the aesthetic appearance of my blog layout.

thank you for your assistance

well, naw.. but i do think im behaving like one of those irritating sh customers i so despised just a few months back? hah

[i made the font smaller. no use cluttering up the whole page. but do note the visible difference in the lengths of the codes? duh?]
